Copyright Takedown Policy

Copyright Takedown Policy Effective date: [insert date] We respect intellectual property rights. This policy provides a process for copyright owners and authorised representatives to report material they believe infringes copyright. It does not limit any rights or obligations under applicable copyright law.

  1. User responsibility Users are responsible for ensuring they have the right to upload material to the Service. Users must not upload pirated, infringing, leaked, unlawfully obtained, confidential, or unauthorised material. Users must not upload textbooks, journal articles, course packs, paid resources, publisher materials, examination materials, or other copyrighted works unless they have the legal right, licence, permission, or applicable exception allowing them to use that material with the Service.
  2. How to send a copyright complaint If you believe material on the Service infringes your copyright, send a written notice to: copyright@sulcai.com Your notice should include: • your full legal name; • your organisation, if applicable; • your email address; • your postal address; • your phone number; • identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed; • sufficient information to locate the allegedly infringing material on the Service; • a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent, or the law; • a statement that the information in your notice is accurate; • a statement that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner; • your physical or electronic signature.
  3. What we may do After receiving a copyright complaint, we may: • review the complaint; • request more information; • remove or disable access to the material; • notify the user who uploaded the material; • suspend or terminate the user’s account; • preserve relevant records; • reject notices that are incomplete, abusive, fraudulent, or unsupported; • take any other action we consider appropriate.
  4. Counter-notice If you believe your material was removed or disabled in error, you may send a counter-notice to: copyright@sulcai.com Your counter-notice should include: • your full legal name; • your email address; • your postal address; • identification of the material removed or disabled; • a statement explaining why you believe the material was removed or disabled in error; • a statement that you have a good-faith belief that you had the right to upload or use the material; • any supporting evidence of your rights, licence, permission, or lawful basis; • your physical or electronic signature. We may forward your counter-notice to the complainant where appropriate. We may restore material if we believe it is appropriate to do so, but we are not required to restore material.
  5. Repeat infringers We may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly upload infringing material or are the subject of repeated credible copyright complaints. We may also restrict upload access, delete uploaded materials, or preserve records where necessary.
  6. Misrepresentations Submitting false, misleading, or bad-faith copyright complaints or counter-notices may result in account termination and may expose the sender to legal liability.
